The hotel is located in the magnificent plateau of Omalos, at 1,050 metres and 35km from the town of Chania in Crete.

The hotel is open all year and offers to its visitors a special accommodation with quality services and Cretan hospitality.

The friendly and family atmosphere of the hotel promise an experience of “alternative vacation” in a rare and fascinating location at this part of Crete with the rich natural beauty.

Hotel “Neos Omalos” constitutes since 1954 the base for many outdoor activities in the area. It is located just 10 minutes away from the famous gorge of Samaria, which attracts hundreds of visitors from all over the world every year.

It is used as the basis for mountaineering activities in the surrounding crowns of the Leuka Ori, for bike excursions and for explorations of the unique Cretan flora.

Also, because the plateau of Omalos is the edge-point in four of the routes of the European path of long routes E4, the hotel is an ideal base for adventure on this path. The peaceful environment of the hotel “Neos Omalos” can be used as the perfect shelter for resting away from the intensive urban life.

Hotel consists of 26 comfortable rooms, which can be used as single, double or triple, according to the needs of visitors.

The hotel has a large reception lounge, a comfortable restaurant and a bar. There the customer can enjoy any time of the day his coffee, drink or food.

All rooms are heated and have a phone, TV, bath and hot water all day. Also, all rooms have a balcony with a view of the crowns of Lefka Ori and the plateau of Omalos.

The cuisine of the hotel is based on local products and offers plenty of traditional cretan dishes.

There is a parking place for the customers. The hotel also takes over the transport of customers from the hotel to the entrance of the Samaria Gorge at Xyloskalo and to the beginning of all trails that lie around the Omalos Plateau.
